Are You Confident About Doing Robots That Vacuum And Mop? Do This Test
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one time, without having to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual will have you up and running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. You can also view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It is able to change its path automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I have found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and dust. It comes with a mop that is top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or in a series. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's clever features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature of its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. robot vacuum cleaner reviews is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
